Epoxy, Pavement, & Polished Concrete Project for TOA USA

TOA USA needed Skeens to provide solutions for a number of their surface areas. First, their employee lot was in need of renovation. Skeens re-paved and striped the lot, providing a safer space for employees to drive and walk on. They also needed a space outside of their building to store containers that were taking up space inside. Skeens created a new container lot for TOA USA, giving them increased functionality for their indoor space.

Lastly, Skeens converted all of the epoxy aisles in their building to polished concrete. This provides a safer surface for walking and driving. It is also easier to maintain and more durable than the previous epoxy. Previously, Skeens would have to epoxy all of the aisles in TOA multiple times a year. After converting the aisles to polished concrete, the epoxy only has to be maintained in bathrooms, battery areas, waste water areas, etc. to give the floor a chemical-resistant barrier to the harsh chemicals present in those areas of the building.

Project Specifics:

• Pavement – 66,000 sq ft repaving employee lot (1 week)
  
• Pavement- 33,000 sq ft Paving new container lot (1 week)
  
• Polished Concrete – 225,000 sq ft total in TOA USA (3 year process)
  
• Epoxy – 500,000 sq ft of epoxy work in TOA USA over last 17 years
